Sexual Misconduct Response Team
The Sexual Misconduct Response Team (SMRT) under the direction of the Committee on Ministry is responsible for holding Sexual Misconduct Prevention Trainings every 3 years (or sooner for new Presbytery members and staff) for all Presbytery staff, as well as pastors and lay people in churches who work with children and youth. It is our desire to ensure that our pastors and churches be in compliance with our Presbytery policy.
Pastors And Sessions:
 We would strongly recommend that you work with your insurance company to make sure that all the leaders in your church who work with children and youth are properly trained and that you have Safe Church policies in place in accordance with the General Assembly mandate and your insurance company’s requirements.
Our Stated Clerk keeps confidential training records on all Pastors to assure they are in compliance with our policy. If you are a pastor and are unsure of your training date, please call the Stated Clerk. If you are a new pastor, and you have a certificate of training from your previous Presbytery within the last 12 months, please send a copy to the Stated Clerk upon your entry into the Presbytery as you are required to have training as soon as possible after you join.
